That's where we come in; we make the process easy and straightforward. You choose your location around Colorado and beyond, somewhere that's significant to you and your soon to be spouse for your engagment pictures. Your fear of poses and being comfortable behind our lens will disappear when we spend the first half of your session talking and learning about you; then when we do pick our camera and start directing you it won't feel forced or awkward; natural and authentic is our goal. ONE.
Pre-Session Intervew.
Share your engagement story with us; we love to do this pre-interview session in person (Coffee on us!), so we can see the expressions you share as you tell us your engagement story and your dreams for your engagement or couple shoot.
TWO.
Set The Mood.
We put thought into every photography session, mini session to full-day session we don't cut corners when it comes to your engagement or couple photos. We spend time researching locations, prop suggestions, and planning an initial shot list.
THREE.
Shoot.
Sessions all about you and love. We have music, snacks, and fun role play games to make you both feel comfortable. You'll receive active and creative direction from your photographer, direction not staged poses. We love authentic interactions.
FOUR.
Edit & Deliver.
We do not outsource our editing; it's all done in house. Some photographers have a standard template which is fine; however, we feel as if each session has a different mood. We edit each of our images to fit the mood of the day, this way your photos are unique to your story.
COUPLE & ENGAGEMENT PORTRAIT PRICING.
Engagement, couple and proposal portrait sessions start at $500. Choose between a mini-session or standard-session both come with printing credits and full downloadable access to your photos. Most people skim by that first sentence when you're looking for a photographer the most important question to ask is if you download all the photos from your session. All our sessions are all inclusive, and we give you downloadable access, and rights to images if you choose to opt out of using our printing services. If you select TD/P as your wedding photographer as well, 50% of your engagement session investment will be applied to your wedding photography session.
WHAT IS ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY?
Engagement photography is simply a casual photo session where you'll get the opportunity to get to know your photographer that will most be shooting your wedding as well. Engagement sessions are crucial for a successful wedding day, we see it as an opportunity to give real feedback to our photographers, and it starts and creates an open dialog. Your photographer will use this session to coach you through basic poses that we build off for traditional group shots and day of bride and groom moments. While our working style is candid and documentary, we still ensure we provide you direction so you can become comfortable with a few standard poses that we'll make you own in your engagement session. This session will help you build confidence and trust in your photographer, and will allow your photographer to get to know you and your couple more.
The photoshoot is also a useful opportunity to practice how bridal makeup, we always provide tips, but this time with your engagement photographer will allow you to see how your make up will photograph in real time. Lastly, we have the opportunity to learn about you and your spouses' preferences, things that make you smile, laugh and cry. We also practice getting comfortable kissing in front of the camera; this is an art, so kisses look authentic but not overly sloppy.
